Our shelter is open by appointment only for approved adopters. This allows our dedicated staff to facilitate the optimal pet-matchmaking experience — focused, one-on-one time with you and your potential new family member. No adoption appointments on Mondays.

Special Adoption Programs

👴 Seniors for Seniors

Adopters aged 65 and older receive a waived adoption fee when adopting a mature animal (8 years or older).

Older animals are wonderful companions — their personalities are fully formed, they're typically calmer, and they are deeply grateful for a loving home.

🇺🇸 Pets for Patriots

SAVE partners with Pets for Patriots to pair veterans and active-duty military personnel with shelter pets who need them most.

Eligible pets include animals that are at least 2 years old, have special needs, have been in the shelter 6+ months, or weigh 40+ pounds.
